Oral History Project

The Langdon Heritage Commission has been recording the voices of its citizens young and old.

On Memorial Day 2009, the Commission hosted a day “To Honor Those Who Served” during which several veterans took advantage of the opportunity to record for posterity their stories.

Recordings of old farm ways have been archived along with tales of putting up vegetables, old fashioned sledging, hired men and dirt roads.

Spring 2010 Rebecca Rule visited visited the Langdon Meetinghouse and recorded town hall stories told by local folk.

Commission members are working on future events where can record more stories that our citizens would like to share.

We welcome volunteers who have an interest in preserving Langdon History through oral recordings.
